Kiteboarding - Tarifa
Adventure
We have one day where there are no fixed activities and
you are welcome to explore the town or do a little sun bathing. However
- it is an activity holiday and Tarifa is one of the worlds top spots
for windsurfing and kiteboarding. For an additional cost of 90 Euros we
will arrange a days introduction to kiteboarding (this is not included
in the holiday price as it is very weather dependant, and may not
happen). But if you get the chance we really can recommend it
(that's me in the photo on the right).
On your first days lesson you will learn about the
equipment, safety, setting up your kite, launching, flying and
controlling your kite - a lot of fun - especially with a kite big enough
to lift you completely off the ground!
Then if you are lucky you will get to try "body
dragging" the first step to actually getting on your board - involving
controlling the kite to drag you along in the water. Much more fun than
it sounds!!
Anyone keen to do more we can try to fit it in in the
evenings.
